After a few days in Phnom Penh, we took a bus down to Kampot in southern Cambodia, close to the Vietnam border. Kampot is an old french town by a river, just 30 mins away from the coast line in the Gulf of Thailand! Kampot is a very quiet city compared to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and is the most popular retirement town for expats. There are many cafes and restaurants hidden inside the old colonial buildings. And did you know that there is a giant Durian at the centre of the city? 🍐🤓
