Mr Honeybadger the sugar glider, is put into the aviary to be test "flown" to see how well he manages in the aviary, how he moves, what his balance is like, and if he can leap and glide.
You will notice that he got put onto a rotating pool noodle - this was to see how he was managing and how he coped with tricky situations. Then the noodle was stabilised, and he leapt onto Mandi's shoulder and used her as a stepping stone to better things - he then investigated the entire aviary, checked out all the ropes and did a few lovely glides.

Poppy, of course, makes a cameo appearance because she's a stickybeak who needs to know what's going on in her village.

Mr Honeybadger is fit for release and will be released with Mr Swear Bear when they're both ready.
