The negative on French Bee? Free personal item is the smallest limit I’ve seen, just 16x12x8”, smaller than a regular backpack 😱 but nobody measured or seemed too strict about it… we purchased ONE 50lb checked bag for the 5 of us to share, $70 each way. But it helps motivate us to pack lightly!
The flight leaves at 11pm but historically is often delayed 30-120min. Ours left at midnight but it’s great if you can sleep on planes you can get a solid 6-7hrs, arriving at Paris Orly around noon the next day.
Basic economy seats had normal recline and adjusting head rests. I recommend a great neck pillow, sound canceling earplugs, and eye mask, the first and last 90 minutes had lit cabin so the could serve (extra fee) snack/meal service. I tucked a blanket into my tray and threw it over my head as a makeshift hood that worked great!!
We did not pay extra to select seats and thought we’d all get middle seats randomly throughout the plane but totally lucked out!! We were seated together with 3 extra seats around us so Kenzo and I even played down and spooned in our row 😱😱😱 I guess if you don’t pay, they put you in middle seats, hoping people will pay for aisle and window, so those tend to be the empty ones if not fully booked 🤣
