READ ALONG TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH AND TO LEARN THE MEANING OF IF IT'S NOT ONE THING, IT'S ANOTHER: So we have this saying in English, "If it's not one thing, it's another.", and we use this when things are going wrong and things keep going wrong. So maybe you solve one problem but then another problem arises. So we would say, "If it's not one thing, it's another!", referring to the fact that if one thing going wrong or one thing going bad wasn't enough, there will be another thing that will go bad shortly. And normally I'm a pretty positive person but I just had a couple days where, "If it's not one thing, it's another.", would be a very, very good way to describe it. On the farm we were trying to get hay made in our fields and different pieces of equipment kept breaking and even this morning when we were picking up the hay bales we broke our wagon. It was old anyways, but if it's not one thing it's another!
