Took the S&W M1917 (made 1918) Revolver and the Springfield Armory M1911 (made 1914) out to the range today with my buddy to do a little comparison with the two. Both WWI era forearms and both fire the .45 ACP round. Well....I did not do well with them to say the least...the M1911 definitely needs a new barrel and the sight in the M1917 are just so bad! But it was a fun time none the less. Enjoy!
