The KROKODIL Festival, held over three days, featured a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere with ideal weather, except for a rainy second evening that led to a rescheduled main stage program. The festival, the sixteenth edition, was well-attended and engaging, despite the marathon schedule from 11 AM to nearly midnight.

International stars included Mathias Enard from France, Arnon Grunberg from the Netherlands, Hassan Blasim from Iraq, and Andriy Lyubka from Ukraine. The KROKODIL sofa interview format saw conversations with legendary rock photographer Brian Rašić and historian Dubravka Stojanović. Bosnian actor Feđa Štukan, unable to attend in person due to visa issues, joined via WhatsApp.

The musical segment featured singer-songwriters Duda Buržujka, Jelena Petošević, and Ane Paška. Young authors Nađa Petrović, Dora Šustić, and Filip Grujić, alongside regional literary figures Marko Tomaš, Faruk Šehić, and Nikola Madžirov, also participated.

The final evening showcased the feminist performance "PeachPreach" by Rumena Bužarovska, presenting storytelling by women, transgender persons, and drag queens. The debate zone introduced "Meet me in Belgrade," a B2B meeting format for publishers, attracting 26 publishers from 9 countries. Panels addressed literary residencies, civil rights, disinformation, and media manipulation.

The new program unit, Fake News from the Past, discussed media literacy and disinformation with Arnon Grunberg, Milijana Rogač, Ana Martinoli, Jasna Lambert, and Dubravka Stojanović. The "Why Do You Say Love When You Mean War?" event explored violence influenced by political and far-right ideologies.

A special segment focused on Ukraine with the documentary "Stolen Children of Ukraine" and the debate "Courage: Made in Ukraine" featuring Larysa Lebedivna and Andriy Lyubka. An exhibition highlighted KROKODIL’s humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The kids zone offered a literary-art workshop by Jasminka Petrović, circus skills, inclusive art workshops, therapy dog interactions, and theater plays. Creative workshops for adults included embroidery and art therapy.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the XVI KROKODIL Festival. See you next year!
