So the patients who have Parkinson's-like symptoms or thought to have Parkinson's by persons who are not experts on this subject need to be examined in detail together with their other clinical features, and decide which patient is suitable for the operation to separate them.
Moreover, there is another group of patients who do not have healthy cognitive functions, but we always evaluate every single patient with their MRI scans and similar test results before the surgery. If the patient has an anatomical condition or a serious health issue that prevents the patient from getting this systemic surgery, the surgery team needs to think twice before the operation, or maybe decide not to follow it through.
