Use Axis Object Analytic (AOA) in Milestone to do forensic searches on Axis AI cameras via the XProtect Search function. Filter for humans based on clothing color and vehicles based on size and colors across AI-enabled Axis deep-learning cameras.
The second part of the video shows Milestone XProtect's LPR add-on, which can be used with any compatible LPR, LPC, or standard security camera capable of staying within a maximum of 15-30 degree horizontal and vertical angle of incidence, proper lighting at night, and using the right combination of resolution, focal distance, and shutter speed to be able to see clear license plates.
These particular cameras are a Messoa LPR about 75-100 ft away, an Axis P5676-LE PTZ with Raytec IR illuminator about 300-325 ft away, and an Axis Q1700-LE LPC camera about 75-100 ft away. The two Axis cameras were recently installed to replace two Dahua cameras to "rip and replace" the banned Dahua cameras, which actually performed quite well over the years. Milestone's LPR add-on was very easy to configure and didn't take nearly as much time as it did in 2017 when we first deployed the original three LPR cameras, which were all Messoa.
Two of the Messoa cameras ended up failing, and Messoa didn't reply with a viable solution for replacement, which is why we ended up replacing them with Dahua 4MP IR PTZs.
Milestone's LPR add-on allows for real-time LPR/ANPR functionality on any compatible and capable camera and offers whitelist and blacklist functionality so that--for example--security can be notified if a blacklisted license plate is detected whereby they can meet the person at their vehicle before it turns into a more volatile situation such as active shooter in the workplace or on a school campus.
