When I first saw this specific Springfield Trapdoor rifle, my first thought was that it was unshootable. I had planned to use it for components but turns out, it has very defined lands and grooves and everything worked fine. It just looked so rough, needed some oil, and needed a buttplate. It was a great pick up and shoots great with Steinel ammo 45-70 trapdoor loads. 😁
