Most important causes for blind spots in the eye are glaucoma and hemorrhage. Hemorrhage can be caused due to so many factors. Most important is diabetes and hypertension. This cause a small area of our retina that we do not see. Whenever we are looking forward, when both the eyes are open, a 180 degrees of vision. But if in one area, we are not able to see, we call this as a blindspot. But if it is a whole wave that means I am not able to see the lower fraction of my vision, in one eye or the upper fraction or any quadrant, then we would like think this as retinal detachment.
