We met up with Kevin, who is living an alternative lifestyle, off grid in a 'Hut in the woods'.

He describes his hut as not luxurious but practical, built by himself with basic technology, yet providing warmth, shelter, and sustenance, all at a low cost. His land features various elements: a guest wing, fruit trees, raised beds for vegetables, a polytunnel for year-round produce, and a renewable energy system such as a solar system, and plans to introduce Hydro-electric.
The documentary showcases his self-sufficiency efforts, from growing food to preserving it for the winter. He emphasizes learning from nature, identifying various plants for food and medicinal purposes. Kevin also highlights the community aspect, interaction with locals, and the joy of rural living.
His off-grid lifestyle requires resourcefulness, where he repurposes materials for construction and utilities. He demonstrates his homemade long-drop toilet, outdoor bathing setup, laundry methods, and kitchen amenities, including a log burner he uses for cooking.
