In Part 2 of the series the Tories stage raids against their patriot neighbors but leave standing the Videaux mansion. Marion is enamored with Mary Videaux, even though her parents are Tory sympathizers, and he stops the patriots from taking revenge and burning her place when she agrees to provide valuable information.
