Inspired by a timeless classic, The Neverending Story. This is my passionate attempt to recapture the powerful, tragic scene in the Swamps of Sadness. This is my favorite music track from the film, I hope you like it. The long hours dedicated to complete this re-recording is testimony to how much I deeply admire this profound story and the emotional soundtrack. Fantasia can arise within us - it has no boundaries! This is my first video post. Enjoy :-)
A little more about the background of this piece...
As you may be aware, this deep track was never released in its entirety on the OST. For eons I have waited for an expanded release but to no avail. Like many out there, I was rather disappointed in the incomplete 1984 soundtrack release which excluded some of the best tracks. Including the glorious Ivory Tower theme.
Sadly some of these pieces were unfortunately tampered with and remixed. In my view these adjustments completely ruined the original, organic beauty of them. I presume it was done to appeal to the younger generation or perhaps the composer was instructed to do it. If not, why interfere with originality and perfection? The German release, Die Unendliche Geschichte was great, but still incomplete.
