WARNING TO ALL: While technically a PG-rated film, this scene is considered to be one of the scariest moments of all-time from the 1950s' Hollywood, and is notorious for upsetting those with the following conditions below. If you suffer from Arachnophobia, Claustrophobia, or Cleithrophobia, please DO NOT watch this video, as it is a sequence of a large spider preparing to eat a terrified hybrid human/fly who is screaming in a haunting manner. This can cause nightmares to those who suffer from the listed phobias, those who are easily frightened or upset, those who suffer from any heart conditions, the elderly and especially young, impressionable children. If you are a parent or guardian, I strongly recommend you to send your child to the next room or to bed if you morbidly wish to watch this video. I am not responsible for whatever harm is done to your health, mental well-being, or God Forbid, someone dying from watching this video, as this film *has* legitimately caused that to happen before.*Viewer Discretion is Strongly Advised.*Towards the end of the 1958 20th Century Fox horror classic "The Fly", there was a notoriously eerie scene where the original that fly Andre combined with in his infamous test was spotted by Vincent Price's character. According directly from the actor David Hedison, he was *furious* with the fact that he had screamed at the top of his lungs only to have his voice reduced into a tinny squeak without his acknowledgement. While David would ultimately be proud of making this film in the long run, he would never forget how they changed his voice without consent. They had recorded his screaming onto a reel-to-reel tape, and due to the limitations of the technology in the era, David Hedison was required to speak his lines slowly as the tape was already planned to be sped up to create the illusion of a fly buzzing in his voice. However, as with any tape player, the second it was sped up, the pitch in the voice recording changed to a higher frequency, further adding into the illusion. I decided to find out what it was like to lower the pitch back to the original frequencies that are now presumably long-lost, as it's either hidden and rotting away in a vault, or was destroyed by 20th Century Fox after including it into the movie. I have managed to clean up and isolate several peak frequencies in the recording to have mainly just David's voice as close to the original tape as I could possibly muster with the amount of distortions in the way that cannot be removed. This is the best possible result of keeping the original speed of the film playback while restoring the original pitch back into the audio. I have also re-arranged some parts of the scene to be better synchronized with his lips closely as possible. If you are a fan of "The Fly" series, this should end your curiosity of what the original recording of his voice sounded like prior modified pitch that angered the actor who played this poor soul. The video quality was not as I'd hoped for, as the best provided clip of this scene online was only available in 480p and at an incorrect aspect ratio, causing noticeably lower quality than normal upon restoring the original Cinemascope ratio. For that reason, I apologize for the inevitable visual issues that can follow, but I hope you enjoy my editing skills in action! It took less than 2 minutes to edit this scene together and 4 minutes to export it!

Sorry folks, I hate writing these kind of messages as I don't mind you sharing this video around to show your friends under appropriate circumstances, but I gotta lay down the law of the Copyright protection status this film still has, despite being from 1958 and being renewed last in 1986. I legally shared this freely because of a wonderful loophole called "Fair Use" applied to creators like myself and prevents me from going broke just for getting a license secured to use this clip!
