Raleigh, North Carolina based The Connells have quietly built a fan-base following their 1984 inception, cementing their status as a perennial college radio era band that influenced an alternative rock generation. By the end of the 80’s, The Connells watched their peers like R.E.M. rise to mainstream interest while they themselves struggled with their independent label before finally breaking through to International success with “’74-’75” (their second single from their fifth studio album, Ring), reaching #1 across Europe and certified Gold in Germany and Sweden. 30+ years later, the band continues to tour and record, with a new generation discovering The Connells.
