The Arrivals (Issac, Dave, Patrick and Ron) are from Chicago -- though Patrick might still live in Minneapolis, I don't know. They play soulful Midwestern pop-punk with a lot of classic influences. Their new album "Volatile Molotov" is totally killer, it's on Recess Records. They played a good set. I think it was the best welcome a straight up pop punk band has ever gotten in Olympia. By the time they wrapped up with "Simple Pleasures in America" they'd won over the whole bar, I swear.
