Songs done in bands.. Did this "Shrimp Song" (Roy Bennett/Sid Tepper) in the duo 'Dokter&Van Berkum' close to 30 years ago. It's a tune i first heard as one of the very few covers on the Townes Van Zandt album 'Rain on a Conga Drum - live in Berlin' (Zilenz Records 1991). Van Zandt states he first it in an Elvis Presley movie 🎼 Funny little tune. Something light for today 🎼
So much fun to do these old Band tunes, but this is a tough one. 🎼😎🎼 Hope you all have as much joy listening as i will have in picking them 🎼 In some cases it's my first re-run after decades even.
That brings me to the real challange here: i will not be rehearsing them upfront, so i will get to some songs that i have (partly) forgotten.

The only schedule on this series is that there is none. Just a different song every day, that's all there is to it. Some will suck, some will be quite okay; and all 'verdicts' in between, too. So, so far it's been 254 (!) finished songs and old demos i (co)wrote myself. The rest are covers of various songs i love or just like to pick.. Just wondering how many there will be one day 🎼🎸
