ihopkc Forerunner Church to Close Down Mike Bickle Scandal Update. ihopkc forerunner church announced this week they are closing its doors, will rebrand and start another much smaller organization. So ihopkc closing down was announced at ihopkc staff meeting this week. This is following several sexual clergy abuse claims against its founder Mike Bickle. Ihopkc had no choice to cut ties with Mike Bickle. Several investigations were conducted and Mike was found guilty of inappropriate behavior on several levels. Even having a sexual relationship with then 14 years old tammy woods when he was in his mid 20’s. And several ministry leaders led by Dr Michael Brown released a statement that Mike is unfit for ministry. The the main worship leader Misty Edwards was alleged to have two affairs as well. this ihopkc update was covered by the Roys Report this week where Senior Pastor Isaac Bennett informed his staff on the closing. Ihopkc is bleeding money and losing 500,000a month due to donors pulling out from supporting the ministry (So they would be loosing 6 million a year). Leaders hope this move will limit IHOPKC’s liability regarding victims’ lawsuits, said Isaac Bennett, pastor of IHOPKC’s Forerunner Church, in the staff meeting. “We’re the people to sue at the end of the day,” said Bennett. “That produces significant liabilities there.. ihopkc Mike Bickle allegations have rocked this community and it will never be the same. To keep IHOPKC at its current operational level, IHOPKC would have to let go 90% of its paid staff, Bennett said. So, instead of 500 staff, IHOPKC would have to run the organization with just 50, Bennett said. They will keep the 24/7 Prayer room open but most other ministries will get cut. So this Mike Bickle allegations update is devastating news for their community.
