When Andrea first sent me these lyrics I had a completely different reason for being drawn to them. Now in our current historical moment where another awful war has started and taken its toll on many innocent lives, these lyrics written by Andrea Steen Macina many years ago, suddenly fit into an emotional recall of this precarious situation.

She had written these words for her kids when they were small and tucked it away, but recently she kindly decided to send them to me to give them a try as a song. With some tweaking and a melody that just flowed at the moment, I tried to convey the feelings meant by her words.

My friend John Chantry realized they represented the human need for help in a situation for which most of us feel quite helpless. What kind of angels do the war victims need at this moment? Who are those angels?

And finally, we didn’t even have to ask Marco if he wanted to produce a video, so we got the final piece we required for this to happen.

I don’t intend to tell you to enjoy the video, rather than feel it. Music touches our hearts and minds, and may that melody result in a request for angels to help those in need.
