When it comes to burns, size does matter. Doctors or first responders need to determine how severe a burn is, and one of the factors they look at is percentage of the person's body that has been burned. They use a visual aid called The Rule of Nines to figure it out. In this short film, world-renowned burn surgeon Dr. Peter Grossman of the Grossman Burn Center explains what the Rule of Nines is.

MySafe:LA is a unique non-profit, public benefit fire and life safety organization. We work closely with fire departments, including the Los Angeles City Fire Department - teaching fire safety, prevention, as well as important life safety topics.
