Rivermaya is a renowned Filipino rock band that gained prominence in the 1990s and has remained one of the most influential and enduring bands in the Philippines' music scene. The band was formed in 1994 by four talented musicians, namely:

Rico Blanco - Vocals, keyboards, guitars
Mark Escueta - Drums
Nathan Azarcon - Bass guitar
Perf De Castro - Guitars (Left the band in 1998)
Rivermaya achieved commercial success and critical acclaim with their self-titled debut album, "Rivermaya," released in 1994. The album featured hit singles like "Ulan," "214," and "Awit ng Kabataan." These songs became anthems for the Filipino youth and catapulted the band to stardom.

Over the years, Rivermaya went through several lineup changes as band members came and went, but they continued to produce successful albums and hit songs. Rico Blanco, who is also an accomplished songwriter, became a central figure in the band and contributed significantly to their success.

Some of Rivermaya's other popular songs include "Kisapmata," "Himala," "Liwanag sa Dilim," "You'll Be Safe Here," "Elesi," and many more.

Despite the changes in their lineup, Rivermaya has maintained a loyal fan base and continues to perform concerts and release new music. They are regarded as one of the pioneering bands of the "Pinoy rock" genre and have left a lasting impact on the Philippine music industry.
