*UPDATE:* On April 22, 2023 I set about putting my "corrected" transcription into MuseScore, and it took on a life of its own. Ray Shulman (1949-2023) was the primary bassist for Gentle Giant for their entire existence from 1970-1980. He also played violin, guitar, recorder, keyboards, sang, and co-composed much of the band's music. Back in 1996, fresh out of college, I transcribed his bass part for the track "The House the Street the Room" from 1971's Acquiring the Taste, in a music notebook. Today I played that transcription for the first time in about 25 years.
