From the album I'm Blue As A Man Can Be, Vol. 1. The album was recorded in Louisiana State Penitentiary, by ethnomusicologists Dr Harry Oster and Richard Allen. Williams was serving a life sentence for shooting a man dead in a local club, which he claimed was self-defense. Oyster persauded the Govener that Williams had great talent and deserved to be released. This cast further doubt on the dubious American justice system.
