Huacheng Square, known as Guangzhou's "city living room", is the largest square in Guangzhou and has been fully open to the public since October 25, 2010.
The square is located at the core node of Zhujiang New Town, the new central axis of Guangzhou City, starting from Xiancun Road in the east, Huaxia Road in the west, Huangpu Avenue in the north, and Haixinsha in the south.
The overall plan covers an area of approximately 560,000 square meters, with more than 600 large and ancient trees planted, an approximately two-kilometer long walking boardwalk and a floating island lake covering an area of more than 15,000 square meters.
There are 39 buildings planned in the surrounding area, including the new Guangzhou Library, Guangzhou Grand Theater, new Guangdong Provincial Museum, Guangzhou Second Children's Palace, Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Financial Center, Guangzhou International Financial Center, etc.
