Moon Resorts is a project by the Canadian-based company Moon World Resorts Inc. They have announced plans for a $5 billion, 5-million-square-foot hotel whose signature feature will be a replica of the moon standing at 735 feet tall and 650 feet wide. This replica is large enough to accommodate 4000 guest rooms and suites. Plans for Moon Resorts Las Vegas also include a 75000-square-foot spa, 50000-square-feet of food and beverage offerings, 75000-square-feet of retail. For entertainment, guests can look forward to a 2500-seat theater, a planetarium, a 5000-seat event center, a 10000-seat arena, and a casino. The main highlight of the property will be the "active lunar colony" which visitors can explore using a "moon buggy".
The construction of Moon Resorts Las Vegas is expected to take about four years, and it is one of four lunar-themed properties planned to open around the world in 2026 or 2027. Other locations for these lunar-themed properties include the Middle East, China, and Spain.
