April 26, 2012 - The City of Glendale's 11th Annual event to educate the public about inhumane events of the past through the present day with the hope of avoiding and preventing them tomorrow. In 2012 The City sponsored a short film competition target to the youth living, working or going to school in Glendale.

Entries were based upon any of the following topics:

• Mass Killings and Genocides
• Slavery
• Human Trafficking and Exploitation of Men, Women and Children
• Body Organ Trade
Additionally, the participants could explore the progress towards humanity

The top three submissions were screened at the event and awards presented, including scholarships to The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT).
