"I Believe In Sunshine" by MADRIGAL (1970), a classic example of the ‘sunshine-pop’ genre of rock music, was recorded by Peter Boynton (vocals & piano), John Swainson (bass & vocals), Don Simpson (drums & vocals) and Rick Henderson (guitars & vocals). By covering the original Columbia single by 'A Passing Fancy', this version became a successful top 10 chart single in Canada. Other recent covers are by 'Outrageous Cherry' and 'Summer Aviation'.
