Carlton theatre group, Wimbledon’s longest running amateur dramatics group, celebrated a very special 90th birthday recently when they won three awards from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association for their production of Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’.

The play was judged best drama in London district 3 while Leon Hernandez and Carrie Cable claimed the best male and best female actor awards respectively for their roles as John Worthing and Lady Bracknell.

Bradley West met play director Val Foskett and Leon Hernandez to talk all about their success.
