TL NOTES
- I -
"I can't even see my goals right now" was, as you can probably see, originally a question in the Japanese, stating the narrator's confusion/lack of knowledge about something. I couldn't find a single decent way to make this flow in English, so I made the line be a statement about that instead.
- II -
"So right here right now, I'll lean on someone who isn't scared" is the most liberal translation in the whole video. The first half of the sentence is fine, but the second is about how the narrator needs to change their timid or cowardly self, something that always sounded unnatural and weird to say in only one line in English. The mental image of the singer leaning on "the them that isn't scared" or "someone who isn't scared" got me out of this hole, but again, definitely the most liberal translation in here.

"I ran away to avoid getting hurt by those thorned words that cut too deep while wrapped in a rosy gentle mask." Just a note that the rose having thorns imagery wasn't in the original, but the adjective around the words was them stabbing in, the image popped into my mind, the rest is history, it pretty much fell into my lap.
