How to highlight text in Camtasia | Animated Text Highlights and Emphasizes Tutorial

How to make text more interesting in Camtasia by adding animated highlights to only certain words? How to emphasize various words on a piece of text to attract attention to them, make them stand out and drive your point? In this simple tutorial for Camtasia, I'm walking you through adding a little bit of animation and pizzazz to your Camtasia video by highlighting specific words in a simple annotation and making them stand out.

We are not using any animations in this tutorial, despite the title. We are using simple transitions and a few other native annotations to achieve this text effect. We look at the placement of text, changing fonts and styles, placing the annotation with your text or quote on the screen so that it has plenty of room to grow. Finally, we add some highlight annotations and make them appear and disappear in an animated way using transitions.

Everything in this tutorial should work in Camtasia 2023 and previous versions, as long as you have annotations available.
