Road crashes cost the global economy up to 6% of GDP. This session highlights effective strategies to make roads safe for people and analyse the associated economic and societal benefits. It examines the potential of addressing road safety holistically with shared responsibility among all stakeholders, as envisaged in the Safe System approach.
