I remember always listening to Worry Rock and thinking it fit right in Dookie. Such an underrated song! My priorities I think are gonna be Green Day song that don’t get much attention. They could use some love and recognition. Maybe in an alternate universe, they had this song written during the Dookie era and this is how the outtake would sound like. Changed up some of the instrumentation to fit the Dookie style.
The drum track I used were mostly Pulling Teeth but I used some Welcome to Paradise and Basket Case. I got a pretty good Dookie tone with my MXR Dookie Drive. I actually didn't know how to play the solo before recording this so I had to learn while recording. Haha
Oh yeah, I actually SING backups on this! I'm a little self conscious about it but St. Jimmy's Stuff convinced me to keep 'em on. He actually used a Mike Dookie era model for my vocals that he made himself. The man is TALENTED! As always, St. Jimmy's Stuff did the AI vocals and the mixing. I extracted the drums, played guitar/bass and sang backing vocals. I'm very impressed with how accurate he got the Dookie mix down. Might do more Dookie "outtakes". Please enjoy.
