This pairing of songs is one of my favourite moments of the entire Lamb album. In general too, I'd argue In the Rapids is one of the most underrated Genesis songs of all time, and is definitely one of their most emotionally moving. Rapids really shines live in the musicianship department, and the climax perhaps hits even harder with Phil's pounding drums and Steve's gorgeous textural guitar licks. Vocally on the other hand, it's sadly one Pete often sounds exhausted on, but you won't hear such a thing on this upload! As for It, despite what the band say about it being a weak closer, I've always absolutely adored it, especially that main riff that repeats throughout. The 1974 versions have vocals that are even better than the studio version in my opinion, and you'll hear that on this. The outro for the song has some improvised adlibbing on many of the earliest versions too, so I really wanted to milk that for as much as I could here.
