Jolayne is a personal song with deep meaning to me, hence the presence of my vocals in the song.
I'm glad to say I think this song was a resounding success as a whole, and I hope the deep meaning gets to you as well!
The meaning that this name harbours is that of attempting. The underlying story in this song is a person who sees a world full of people, where each person comes their own side of depression. Some people have conquered it.
Some others are still trying to handle it.
And the rest have just begun to experience it.
Depression is personified in this song as a monster that attacks you often without you even realising it's there until it's too late, and the damage has been dealt.
When you find proof of the good things you have in life, you must cherish them with all your heart.
Never, ever let go of them.
Jolayne, goddess for depression.
She is for those of you who wish they were in a better situation.
