Speak Bitterness shows a group of penitents whose enormous task it is to confess to everything. They are by turns cowed, breezy, anguished, reluctant, jovial and of course determined. The text they work from lies somewhere between a mad catalogue of unlikely human infamy and the transcript perhaps of some strange and comical show-trial.

This performance of Speak Bitterness is presented as part of ’30 Years Forced Entertainment’ a mini-festival arranged by Hebbel-Am-Ufer, a venue the group have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with in Berlin, to celebrate the groups’ 30th birthday year.

The show will also live stream on Saturday 18 October 2014 from 5pm GMT, 6 hours at www.forcedentertainment.com
