DO NOT ❌ HEAT HONEY 🍯 ! IT TURNS TOXIC.HONEY IS MEDICINE, NOT FOOD.
1. Heating honey is poisonous. Heating of honey is contraindicated according to Ayurveda as it causes deleterious effects. Studies have revealed that, when honey is heated, it releases a compound called HMF:
There was a significant rise in hydroxymethyl furfuraldehyde (HMF) in 60° and 140°C heated honey samples.
2. Heated honey mixed with ghee also produces
HMF which may cause deleterious effects. In order to liquefy honey, it is best to heat it at 35-40°C
(95-104°F. The temperature should not go beyond 40°C (104°F) to avoid overheating.
3. Mixing ghee and honey in an equal ratio can also turn toxic and can invite trouble for your health. On mixing ghee and honey, a substance called Clostridium Botulinum spreads rapidly in the body and can lead to respiratory problems, stomachache and even cancer. Clostridium Botulinum is a type of bacteria that can produce dangerous toxins, especially under low-oxygen conditions.
4. In INDIA, Ghee and Honey is used in Panchamrit along with milk, curd, and sugar. The reason why Panchamrit doesn't turn toxic is because ghee and honey are not mixed in equal proportions. Also, Panchamrit is consumed in very small quantities, usually, just 1 tsp is consumed which causes almost no harm to the body.

5. As per Ayurvedic practice, for a 70 kg man, the normal dose of honey recommended is 48 g/day (1 pala matra) and recommended dose of ghee is 30 ml/day (hraseeyasi matra).
