So Dusk...And Her Embrace by Cradle of Filth has a very interesting history. Recorded in 1995 only to be rerecorded a year later with a different label, this is the album that is seen as CoF's true arrival. But what about the original tapes from 1995? This release is a remastered version of those tapes, presented for release for the first time. Some differences are present and for the CoF vet are easy to spot, but in most cases, these are largely the same songs in a different sequence and with minor tweaks. Pretty cool for the collector, and also for the curious new fan that may have never heard this masterwork.
