This is a cover of the song ”Blue Virgin Isle” by Ted Gärdestad from 1978.
He was a Swedish musician and singer-songwriter, who passed away in 1997. He and his brother Kenneth Gärdestad used to write the music and the lyrics to the songs together and, in 1993, Kenneth Gärdestad wrote a version of the song in Swedish, called ”Himlen Är Oskyldigt Blå” sung by Ted Gärdestad. The Swedish version is beautiful, but I like the English song better. And this is a great cover of the English version!
