This video will familiarize you with how to apply the GEEWHIZ® External Male Catheter if you are uncircumcised.
For the application for uncircumcised males, ensure that the penis has been thoroughly cleaned, dried and free of lotion and barrier creams. Make sure your hands are clean and if necessary wear gloves.
EASY 3 STEP APPLICATION
Application for your GEEWHIZ® External Male Catheter is a simple and straightforward 3 step process and can easily be remembered by the phrase:
WRAP. ROLL. WRAP.™
Remove all the GEEWHIZ® External Male Catheter components from the Daily Pack ™.
Please remember your GEEWHIZ® External Male Catheter may or may not come with the pouch shown in the video depending on the model provided.
STEP 1
Remove both liners from the front and back of the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™.
Pull the foreskin forward, eliminating all wrinkles and loose skin on the shaft of the penis. While holding the foreskin forward, wrap the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ approximately 1/2" - 1" behind the head of the penis. Release the foreskin. You will notice the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™slide back on the shaft. This is the proper application technique.
GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ may overlap. DO NOT CUT
While the GelStrip™ will not adhere to hair, it is important that the pubic hair is trimmed or shaved in order to allow for the best adhesion to the skin.
STEP 2
Make sure the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter is rolled tightly, and place the tip of the penis into the catheter.
Unroll the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter over and all the way across the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ until the rolled end of the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter is behind the edge of the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ nearest your body.
Gently squeeze the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter around the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ to ensure a "Liquid Tight" seal.
STEP 3
Remove the liner from the GEEWHIZ® SecureStrip™.
Affix the SecureStrip™ to the outside of the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter over the GEEWHIZ® GelStrip™ bump.
While applying slight tension to the tape, wrap the GEEWHIZ® SecureStrip™ completely around the outside of the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter.
DO NOT wrap the GEEWHIZ® SecureStrip™ so tight as to cut off urine or blood flow.
If the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter is not already attached to the drain bag, you will need to place the GEEWHIZ® QuickSnap™ Male Nozzle of the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter into the GEEWHIZ® QuickSnap™ Female Nozzle to your drain bag tubing or drain bag. A "click" will indicate a successful and secure connection.
To disconnect, gently squeeze the two tabs located on the head of the GEEWHIZ® QuickSnap™ Female Nozzle and pull the GEEWHIZ® QuickSnap™ Male Nozzle away and out.
This feature enables you to use a urinal or toilet by urinating directly through the GEEWHIZ® Condom Catheter without removing it.
