On April 20th of 2009 Sophia was diagnosed with SMA Type 1. A diagnosis that promised to take her life before she could ever reach the age of 2. We could have crumbled under the circumstances........nobody would have faulted us.

1,631 days ago we started our fight.......it would not matter what stood before us......we were going to go through it. With an unyielding love we grabbed our daughter's hand and decided we were going to end this disease.........that has been our journey.

We have been the lead funder of a Gene Therapy Program for SMA that has the potential to end this deadly disease. We could have never gotten to this point without any of you who have believed in us and supported us throughout the years. Many within the community are waiting patiently for the answer........they want to know if this program has been approved.
