Today the Streamhunter looks at the 2016 independent British comedy film called Mindhorn. Directed by Sean Foley and written by the two stars of the film, Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby.

The film is about a bad actor, Richard Thorncroft, who starred in a television show in the 80s called Mindhorn about a detective with the power to see truth with a cybernetic eye. Now in the year 2016, he is washed up and very few people remember him. He has burned a lot of bridges and is having trouble trying to get another gig.

At the same time the real police are looking for a murdered, who has contacted them and will only talk to Detective Mindhorn. Of course, the shallow Thorncroft doesn’t quite get the whole thing and looks as it as a new career opportunity.
