Persistent Depressive Disorder, is often described as a high functioning depression, because symptoms are typically less severe and many people find a way to cope. The truth is, depression has a number of effects on our life, and suppressing/ignoring such a serious medical condition has its consequences. Unfortunately, if we do not deal with it directly, we are more susceptible to major depressive episodes and multiple health risks.
