I’ve been mostly uploading minimalist levels or levels that don’t fit the norm of what’s visually impressive for most people, which usually those levels do appeal to me since it takes a lot of skill to do a lot with a little, I also like maximalist levels too. I was just scrolling through recent rates and came across this. I’ve heard of Inex from BISMARCK (83025300), so I had a feeling of what I was in for. This level, like the pervious level I mentioned, was made for a gauntlet. The Discord gauntlet (the one this level is being entered into) is where there are two different versions of the same level and you can pick your own path. Some people have even chosen to switch up the gameplay like PAHC’s Flipping a Coin (83851639). Inex decided to just go with color changes and some visual changes. While the red version is mostly good in terms of how it used color, I feel like the blue version was lacking. There are some blocks that could have been blue in the blue version instead of red. I’m not sure why Inex decided to go this route. Maybe I’m missing something. Also the sync with the music from 56%-70% feels off at points which was kind of distracting for me when most of the level’s sync was fine. Other than that, this level is just visually pleasing to look at in my opinion. Stating the obvious, the animations and transitions are really well done. The atmosphere of this world ending event with some external force is also neat as well. I also love the subtitles for the song. It’s a small detail but I love how it was done in a way where it didn’t detract from the level. Also the gameplay is really fun. If you don’t like the visuals, just play the level for the gameplay. I feel like the blue version feels more personal due to the more calming tone while the red version feels like a general chaos of what is going on (I’m aware I described that horribly, it’s hard to put into words what I mean, but hopefully what I’m saying is making sense). Overall, it’s a visually stunning, and fun level with some problems that could be fixed. Also no, I did not find this level from Nexus. -Wuhu
