Well...it didn't feel like luck was on my side, not just when rolling for Meiling, but also in general at that time. However, that's life sometimes. I was extremely hopeful for L80 Meiling to have Star Weakness inflict due to being a Technical-Class unit like L80 Kaguya and L80 Yuyuko. I was also excited for her intro video which also didn't disappoint. But then maintenance ended, and I saw Meiling's kit...
No Star Weakness infliction, instead with a team buff in damage on bullets with resisted damage (sort of like C3 Yuyuko's skill but resisted instead of effective). That's not the end of the world though, but I think what really sucked was that her Last Word was a mix of Body and Sharp? Her very own Story Card boosts both Star elements and Sharp bullets by 50%, but she has Body bullets on lines 1 and 2? This was probably my least favourite part of her kit, why did it have to be this way? I guess the other stuff in her kit is fine, but from what I'm hearing, I'm scared of her being on the weaker side of Relics.
But enough of that for now, I was and still am loyal to Hong Meiling, the Sakuya references in her animations and even the knife in her art was so cool, and I knew whatever happened, I would go out of my way to get her...and I did! I also remembered when I tried going for E1 Meiling and A6 Meiling on my JP account, and I had to do a little sparking sadly. I suppose in a way, I am very fortunate to have some breathing space when it comes to if/when a future Sakuya will arrive. I was wanting to remain prepared for a C3 Sakuya, but that might not be the only one to worry about...
But yeah, with less than 2000 Seal Crystals when I was done with this, I will probably only go for A14 Shinmyoumaru whenever she comes, and not go out of my way for any specific units (maybe Epic Banners with Limited Story Cards, but that's it). I'd definitely like to be at over 3000 Seal Crystals again, and hopefully when this new Sakuya comes, whichever/whoever it will be, my lesser luck was spent on occasions like this!
And one more thing about L80 Meiling. For me, I was at 2 Relic Paper Disks, so Max Limit Breaking L80 Meiling wasn't going to be a super quick process. However, with how things may play out on JP this month, I think I secured her being Max Limit Broken in about 2 weeks on the new event!
